Our Medicaid Certified Expert Program (MM-CPE) is the most widely recognized certification program in the Medicaid industry for the professional expertise and skills needed to succeed. The Goal of the MM-CPE Program

The MM-CPE program is designed to provide a foundational understanding of key concepts about the program AND keep learners up to speed on emerging changes and trends.
Requirements of the MM-CPE Program
There are 3 levels of MM-CPE certification available to learners. Each level has its own set of requirements:
Certified Medicaid Expert Level 1
- Initial certification requirements
- Complete the Medicaid foundations course
- Complete an addition 50 hours of CEU coursework (with up to 35 hours from our free webinars)
- Pass the Level 1 exam
- Ongoing certification requirements
- 50 hours of CEU coursework per year, with up to 15 hours from our free webinars
Certified Medicaid Expert Level 2
- Initial certification requirements
- Achieve Level 1 certification
- Complete the Level 2 Core Courses Set (3 foundational courses covering Eligibility, Finance and Regulations)
- Complete an addition 75 hours of CEU coursework (with up to 50 hours from our free webinars)
- Pass the Level 2 exam
- Ongoing certification requirements
- 75 hours of CEU coursework per year, with up to 25 hours from our free webinars
Certified Medicaid Expert Level 3
- Initial certification requirements
- Achieve Level 2 certification
- Complete the Level 3 Core Courses Set (3 foundational courses covering advanced topics in Technology, Finance and Regulations)
- Complete an addition 125 hours of CEU coursework (with up to 50 hours from our free webinars)
- Pass the Level 3 exam
- Ongoing certification requirements
- 125 hours of CEU coursework per year, with up to 50 hours from our free webinars

No. We have designed our online training to only require internet access and a commonly used browser (such as Chrome, Edge or Internet Explorer). You don’t have to download or install any additional software to take the course.

Yes. The quality of your experience will be determined by your device. If you are generally happy with internet browsing on your device, you should have no problems with the courses on your device. We have designed our courses to work well on desktops, laptops, phones and tablets.

The short answer is – It depends on the rules of your particular certifying organization. Most of the ones we have researched do allow you to use online training courses to count towards your ongoing requirements. The certificate of course completion that you receive for our courses is usually sufficient for the organizations that allow it.
Sometimes the certifying organizations require that all of your units come from them, and sometimes they allow you to use training (usually up to a certain % of your required hours) from other training providers. We have found that most will allow our training, but you should contact your certifying organization to confirm if you have questions.
